Cataloochee Ranch Post Rain Showers

During dinner last night, one of those standard summer pop-up thunderstorms rumbled over the mountain.  I decided to go next door to Cataloochee Ranch with my cameras and see the views post rain showers.

The sun sets over Soco Gap and the Cherokee Reservation, but the clouds obscured that view and created their own evening artistry. As I was capturing those images, the cattle herd crossed the road, I guess proving that the grass is greener on the other side. A few of the steer seemed less than pleased to see me, as you can tell be the photos. Further up the road was a view of the ranch houses and a horse, who was equally curious about my presence.

How beautiful! Yeah the cows were not terribly happy! Cute nonetheless.
