Inn at Tranquility Farm

Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation, one of my favorite charities, hosted an event last week at the Inn at Tranquility Farm. While I have a long history with Sarge’s, this marked my first visit to the Inn.

Fortunately, the weather cooperated to make the evening mountain perfect. So we started our evening enjoying hors d’oeuvres and drinks on the wide front porch, soaking in the stunning view.

The beautifully maintained grounds blazed in late June color. A garden pathway meandered through the blooms.

The eye catching daylilies called out for some macro photography. Of course, I happily obliged.

After enjoying the gardens and wandering through the stunning buildings, we ended our evening sitting on that front porch. The setting sun lit the valley below, so I captured the scene. I can think of no better way to end a great evening.

Even the walk back to the car was peaceful in the design of a rock wall.

I have absolutely no connection to the Inn other than having been an invited guest of Sarge’s. The Inn’s hosts weddings and other special events as you can read about on their website.

On the other hand, I have supported Sarge’s in one way or another for a decade. We (that is the dogs of The Thundering Herd) host an annual fundraiser called Valentines Hearts for the Herd as well as serve as a sponsor for the annual Downtown Dog Walk in Waynesville, NC.
