Snow Days: A Timelapse From Our Recent Snow

Our winter has been unseasonably warm and dry, but we finally had a couple of snow days last week – a perfect timelapse photography target.

Normally, we have had several snows by this time of year. Just a year ago, I was taking photographs that looked much more like this, but this year has been more conducive to hiking than winter weather.

With last week’s minor snow predicted, I decided I had better go ahead and take advantage of it for a timelapse. I love how you can see both the snow building as well as melting – sadly, just a couple of days apart from each other.

Hope you enjoy:

That is so cool. I loved watching it snow. I bet the herd was extremely happy and sad with in a couple of days. He have had a couple of good snow days, but we have also had a lot of rain here too in Michigan. I love to watch it snow so it’s a bummer for me.
