“It’s my fault,” say Jodi Bishop in the opening line of this book. Her mother is bedridden in the family home with only her father to care for her. Jodi locates a too-good-to-be-true housekeeper to help maintain the large house and care for her mother.
At first, everything seems to be perfect. The housekeeper’s references are sterling. Her demeanor is positive. Her work effort is astounding. And yet…
Jodi can’t quite put her finger on it, but something seems not quite right, but with her own struggles at home and at work, she’s thankful her parents are being cared for. But as weeks go by, her unease grows until she realizes the monstrosity of the danger.
Going to get and read this book. ASAP.
Always enjoyed Joy Fielding’s books. I’m sure it is a good. My favorite one is “See Jane Run.” Another good one.
