Kirsten North receives a phone call at her New Orleans home announcing that her husband, Henry, was murdered in Austin. Confused, since Henry was supposed to be in New York, she scrambles to the airport to catch a flight to Austin. At the airport, she passes the hitman sent to take her out, though she doesn’t know he’s hunting her.

In Austin, Flora Zhang can’t understand how her husband, Adam, was murdered in a warehouse she didn’t know he owned with a man, Henry North, she has never heard of.

The two women, grieving their losses, can’t decide whether to join together to hunt the murderer, because they can’t decide if the other is lying to them.

As they, together and separate, get closer to the truth, they uncover layers about their husbands that they never knew.
