NYC artist Skyler Moore struggles to make ends meet, but a looming art show might change her fortunes. What she doesn’t expect is the phone call from a lawyer telling here that a one-night stand from years earlier has left her millions of dollars in his will. The bequests confuses her because she barely remembers his name. After all, the hookup happened on the same weekend that tragedy befell her sister.

When she meets the man’s family, she discovers they are equally puzzled—and very angry. The man’s wife threatens Skyler unless she gives up the inheritance. Shortly after the threats, her studio and apartment are broken into and her art work damaged.
