Keith Rudy and Hugh Malco grew up as friends and rivals in sports, both the best baseball players of their age. As they entered their teens and young adults years, though, their lives took different paths as they followed their fathers.

Lance Malco saw opportunity in a string of nightclubs and bars along the seedy strip of Biloxi. Illegal gambling and prostitution brought tempting profits. The risk of interference from the law was minimal since the sheriff was on the payroll.

Keith Rudy struggled to put himself through law school and tired of the the rampant crime in his town. When he finally won the post as District Attorney, he pursued the illegal clubs which put him on a collision path with Lance Malco.

The boys entered their fathers’ respective businesses, chilling their old friendship. When violence erupts and lives are lost, their stakes become life and death.
