A hunter accidentally shoots and kills a man. Rather than admitting his crime, he tries to cover things up and enlists his best friend to bury the body. The brother of the victim, a man with a violent streak who now has nothing to live for, decides to exact revenge. A tale set in the mountains of North Carolina.
