Jen watches out the window of her home shortly after midnight, hoping for the safe return of her eighteen-year-old son, Todd. When she first sees him, she’s relieved, but that emotion pivots to horror as she witnesses him stabbing and killing a total stranger.

Why did her good son commit such a heinous act? She and her husband, Kelly, race to the police station to understand, but quickly lose hope. If only she could go back in time and prevent the crime from ever happening.

And then she wakes to discover the day is just beginning. She has an opportunity to figure out what caused her son to act out before he commits the crime. To her frustration, though, she doesn’t have enough time and knowledge. If only she could go back further.

When she wakes the next day, she finds she has moved further back in time. Morning after morning, she wakes to earlier times and more clues.

She is the only person going back. No one else knows. And no one else will remember what she learned—because they haven’t learned it yet.

But to save her son, she has no choice.
