Bees and Catawba Rhododendron

A bright, sunny June day. The Catawba Rhododendron are in full bloom. And the bees are working hard. The beauty of nature is often in the small things.

As the sun was rising on a gorgeous June morning here in the mountains, I was enjoying the peace and quiet. But quiet in nature always has a background hum. The wind rustling leaves. A creek gurgling. And the bees buzzing as they go about their tasks. They are a marvel to watch as they gather pollen and nectar. And so that is the way I spent my morning – soaking in the rising sun and watching the bees.
