One of those photography moments when the clouds broke just at the right moment to produce a brilliant misty morning sunrise.
Without snow, the January mornings are dreary. Cloudy skies day after day. Many mornings, the clouds wrap our mountains in a dense fog. This particular dawn started like so many, a thick fog that slowly lifted. The rising sun could barely be seen through the thick cloud cover until a moment where just enough break opened to allow the light to flare against the rising mist. The scene was fleeting as clouds raced back to shroud the sun from view. But for a brief moment in time, the sky glowed orange.
