Sunrise. The world is quiet and peaceful. The colors are beautiful. And you have the promise of the whole day in front of you.
Don’t get me wrong. I love sunsets as well and will often photograph them. But dawn is just different.
Fewer people take the time to get up and enjoy the early morning, so it is much quieter. I can often sit outside and hear no voices, no vehicles, no human produced noise at all in the morning. That is far less common in the evening. All I hear are animals stirring in their search for breakfast – and what I see is the glorious palette of nature.
