Today’s photo subject is a gorgeous white horse from my next door neighbor, Cataloochee Ranch.
The timelapse photography project I mentioned a couple of weeks ago is a series of sunset scenes, all photographed from the beautiful, mile-high ranch. I am blessed to have such a terrific neighbor with such awesome views, so they are a perfect place to work on sunset scenes and still be able to get home in just a couple of minutes. The project will be published here this month.
The ranch has 25-30 horses that graze the meadows. In fact, the scene I was shooting last night captured the horses as they grazed and moved as the sun was setting.
My photo subject, however, broke away from the Herd and wandered just above where I was set up. His white color, the dark clouds, and the yellow flowers contrasted perfectly, so I couldn’t resist capturing a few photos of him.
