The middle of August in the mountains can still produce a beautiful fall like day with clear blue skies and cool breezes.
We love the mountains for a variety of reasons, but the four distinct seasons are a major highlight. We have gorgeous falls with brilliant colors, snowy winters, and the promise of spring. And, yes, we have a stretch of a few weeks of summer.
The best part of summer is that we can still have cool weather, such as today. The air is cool and crisp and the skies are crystal clear. Out taking a few pictures while waiting on the dogs to finish breakfast.
