Hubcap in the Sunset

Walking our dogs at sunset this evening through Cataloochee Ranch, we spotted this hubcap that had been placed on a fence post. Apparently, a car had thrown it while being driven down the gravel road. Someone had placed it where it would be highly visible in case the driver returned to recover it. With the colors of the sunset, the colors just caught my attention. The result is below:

A hubcap glowing in the sunset.

As I crossed behind the hubcap, I was looking directly into the sunshine. Dropping down into the crouch, I blocked the sun but captured the sun coming through the gaps.

Sunset behind a hubcap.

A strange object in a strange place, but always fun to photograph something unusual.
