Pair Double-Crested Cormorant

Coastal Wildlife Of South Carolina

Most of my photography captures the mountains of Western North Carolina, but sometimes I have the opportunity to share the coastal wildlife of South Carolina.

These photographs come from James Island County Park near Charleston and Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet.

Identifying birds is challenging for me (and feel free to chime in with any corrections or details), but I will freely admit that identifying types of turtles / tortoises is beyond me. Notice that I just punted on the description.
