Favorite School Subject

Here in Asheville, September brings cooler weather, changing leaves, and shorter days. For the younger set, though, it's mean the start of the school year.

With four public schools in our neighborhood, we see kids walking to and from while excitedly chatting with their friends. The book bags attest to their studies, some fun and some dreaded.

Seeing them made me wonder what subjects you looked forward to. We all, after all, had our favorites.

What was your favorite school subject?

Science: Uncovering the mysteries of the universe

History: How did we get here?

Math: Number crunching

Literature: Reading the greats

Music / Art: Soothing the savage beast

Lunch / Recess: Hey, it was fun
